As with most born in the 1970s, I have fond childhood memories imitating Darth Vader’s wheezing breath, watching my sister’s obsession with Luke Skywalker and enjoying spoiler-free days before finding out who Luke’s father was. But I would not call myself a fan of the franchise by any means and my knowledge of Star Wars lore is limited. I watched Star Wars because my sister did. So, as excited as I was to experience Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the Disneyland Resort; I was also worried I wouldn’t truly understand or appreciate the amount of detail that the Disney Imagineers have put into it.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away… Or rather, in a not too distant future, at the Disneyland Resort in California, thousands of fans will be lining up to be the first to experience the massive expansion at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
Here at Fairytale Dreams & Destinations™ Inc., the Force is strong, and as such, we have been invited to participate in a special Media Preview and Dedication of the new land. Join us next week on social media as we explore some beloved favourites and new surprises, such as Cars Land and Pixar Land, before we jump into hyperspace to enter Black Spire Outpost in Batuu, a prominent trading post in the Outer Rim Territories.
